TROTTER

Trotter is a mixed draft horse who was brought to the rescue the same day as Big John. Although his exact age is unknown, the vet believes he is approximately35 years old. While he is in generally good health for a gentleman his age, he does suffer from Cushings Disease. He does need daily medication to treat his illness, which costs about $2.00 per day. Trotter is a very sweet horse and can sometimes be timid around loud noises - even not so loud noises. He loves to "free range" around the rescue, but is often known to run at feeding time. He is definitely enjoying his golden years in comfort!

Our star of the day is Trotter! Trotter says, they think I'm 35 years old, I'm not sure how old I am, but I do know I have a wonderful life here at the rescue. I'm proud to be a mixed draft horse. I get to free range around the farm, isn't that great? I still have some spunk, too, despite my Cushings Disease. I am so happy here at the farm, I couldn't be in a better place. Thanks to those of you who have adopted me, that makes me feel so good.
