EQUINE BURIAL SERVICES

By Central Pennsylvania Horse Rescue, Lewisberry, PA 17339

We know how it feels to lose our beloved horse friends. We have rescued over 130 horses, but occasionally we rescue one that we cannot save and must do the most humane thing for them. Over the years, we have developed methods to move our departed equine friends that cause the least emotional stress to those who love them. Your horse will be carefully placed in an 8-foot wide by 8-foot length 6 feet deep excavation. They will be resting on 6 inches of sawdust bedding and draped with a quality king-size sheet with additional bedding applied before burial. The owner may conduct a service if desired. If you choose to have a service, CPHR will prepare everything before burial. When transporting your horse, we will use equipment that is all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and discreet. Your equine friend will not ever be dragged on the ground. We will transport the coffin to your horse, where they will remain until burial. We will treat your horse with the utmost respect and reverence. You can rest easy knowing your horse will rest in peace and tranquility in a beautiful place on our preserved farm of 108 acres. Their final resting place will be on our highest hill overlooking acres of fields. "Heaven's Field" is only accessible by a four-wheel-drive vehicle as it is high on a hill with breathtaking views in York County. The field has fifteen acres of dedicated pasture that is mowed and maintained. Advanced retainment is available. We charge a flat fee of $1600 for pick up and transport within a 60-mile radius of Lewisberry, PA. We are transport permitted for the state of Pennsylvania.
